Brand Values

I produced some 3D Maya versions of the kettle.
The first version had a solid body and full handle I noticed that many dyson products featured negative spaces and so I tried to include these features on the kettle.

I then thought about lighting and after playing with the LED strips using paper, I made the body of the kettle translucent in Maya and added coloured spotlights in to mimic the LEDs.

I then played with the shape of the kettle body, moving towards a more traditional kettle shape with a modern touch. I had to cut the shape of the handle in half. The cone containing the lights imitates the cyclone technology used in other Dyson products and the shape of it seems to counter act against the shape of the kettle body, which I liked.

For the final kettle I altered the shape a little more by lifting the edges of the kettle body and tilting the handle. However, I didn't like this one as much as I felt that it interrupted the feeling of minimalism that was more appealing about the other kettles.
