I created a poster and illustration using these three programmes. At first I learnt how to use the lasso tool and delete the background of pictures from the internet using Photoshop. I also overlaid these images with effects and colour layers to make them more varied and resemble a comic book style. After this I went online to find inspiration for text and image composition. I found a bold poster for a theatre company and took this bold style to advertise wizarding apprenticeships using Indesign. To complete the look of the poster I included company names at the bottom and small text boxes dotted around the page. Finally I placed my original Photoshop collage into Indesign and moved it to the back so that the text was visible over the top. I liked the end result as I was able to use many different tools and manoeuvres to complete the look of the poster. Using Illustrator I designed a separate piece using the basic shape tool, swatches and the width tool to create swirls. I created a pastel themed solar system and placed a very simple piece of text at the bottom right. Using these programmes was challenging for me as it took time to find different buttons and tabs to apply and effects and use any of the functions. However, this session was highly rewarding for me as I now know the basics of using these three programmes.
