Wearable Art- sample details

I created some 3D paper samples of details from my chosen piece of research. I chose an intricately decorated piece of Renaissance armour, taking and simplifying the details of it. I had a limited amount of time to create each sample and so simplifying it was extremely necessary. The techniques that I used were: cutting, scoring, rolling, folding and curving. For the stand designing I chose to simplify the second sample even further, making it larger and neater. The result was a smooth planed, shell-like husk which presented to me a new and exciting form to play around with when designing.
